Bronx Charter School for the Arts (BCSA) is located in the Hunts Point section of South Bronx. Now in its sixth year of operation, BCSA serves 309 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Approximately 83% of the population qualify for free or reduced lunch. The school demographic reflects the community with a majority of Hispanic/Latino students (66%) followed by Black/African American students (32%). A minority representation of White (1%) form the balance of the population at BCSA. Only 9% of the students are considered Limited English Proficient. Currently 19% of the student population qualify for Special Education services.
