One of the elementary schools in Hempstead Union Free School District, Franklin School houses students in first through fifth grade and is located in Nassau County. The total enrollment is approximately 672 students. The student body is comprised of 53% Hispanic/Latino and 42% African American and 4% White.
In 2013, through district restructuring Marshall school merged with another school building. Franklin school is now the RtI pilot school.
