Algonquin Middle, a suburban public school, serves students in grades 6-8 in the Averill Park School District. The middle school is located in the town of Averill Park, a suburban area of Rensselaer County situated close to the state's capital, Albany.
School Demographics (2016-2017)
During the 2016-2017 school year, Algonquin had a total enrollment of 632 students. Of these, 21% were considered economically disadvantaged, and 15% received special education services. Algonquin does not have any students who are considered English language learners. The student body is predominately white (93%), with a small percentage being other races (6%) or multiracial (1%).
