Strand 19: RtI Implementation at the Administrative Level - 'Yes, It's Still a 'Thing'!'
This three part webinar series will focus on assisting administrators in implementing the RtI framework that meets the needs of all students within their schools. Participants will learn (a) the important role administrators play, especially in developing a schedule conducive to RtI implementation; (b) reviewing data teams, with a focus on research-based best practices for the school and in the classrooms; (c) practical suggestions with research-based practices in improving student achievement; and (d) developing an RtI framework that is realistic and age-appropriate for students at their building level. Intended Audience: Administrators
Session 1 | Response to Intervention: An Overview of RtI Best Practices
In this first session, participants will be given a brief review of SED regulations and guidance regarding Response to Intervention (RtI), particularly in grades K - 4. Administrators will discuss the research behind specific frameworks (tiers) and implementation, as well as the data indicating the important role of building principals.

Session 2 | A Look at the Tiers and Using Data to Make Good Decisions
In this session, participants will take a close look at the three tiers in an RtI framework and closely examine data-based decision making.

Session 3 | Making it Happen! Implementing Best Practices in RtI Efficiently, Effectively, and Realistically in Today's Demanding Educational Setting
In this final session, participants will review possible models and frameworks for building-wide implementation. There will be a discussion on how to align RtI with other building level practices and state-mandates to improve student achievement. Additionally, participants will review next steps and create an action plan to assist with implementation of RtI at the building-level.
